3 Tips In Becoming A Successful Entrepreneur In Network Marketing

Mindset: You will never earn more than what you think you’re worth

You must re-wire the way you think. If you’re new to entrepreneurialism, most likely you are an employee or have been one for the majority of your life. It’s crucial to understand the importance of developing a different mindset, especially if you are new to this industry.

An entrepreneurial mindset is completely different than an employee mindset. An entrepreneur determines how much they are worth and an employer determines how much you are worth. You are responsible for setting and maintaining your own financial thermostat – no one else.

You must learn how to think like an entrepreneur and get out of your comfort zone! Pick up a good personal development or leadership book. Learn to network with top income earners in your industry. The most important thing you can do right now, is make the decision to become an entrepreneur and take action.

How backdrop is important for your photo studio

Photo studio is a way that a photographer should have if he or she wants to develop their skill as well as their business in photography. In order to help them with the studio, a photographer has to have some backdrops such as Christmas Photography Backdrops and many other kinds of backdrop. If you are about to take a further step in photography by building and creating a photography studio, backdrop is very important as it will help you deal with the clients that you are about to have. In addition to that, using backdrop will help you to get a solid background to your photograph. This is because by having a solid background, you do not need to use Photoshop to erase the background of your subject to make it solid. In addition to that, by having solid background to your subject, you will be much easier in editing the background or changing the background. However, to make your work easier without a hard work in Photoshop, you need more than just a plain and solid background. Therefore, we are going to discuss what kind of backdrop that you need to have in addition to the solid background that you might already have and how it benefits you.

The very first backdrop that you need to have at your photo studio is the Halloween Photography Backdrops. This is because we all know that Halloween is one of the most popular days in the US, and I am pretty sure that there will be a lot of people who want to take the picture of them using a Halloween theme. If you do not have this kind of backdrop, I am sure that you will have a difficult time in handling the clients who need to have a fast photo session. I am sure that they will not have much time in waiting you working in Photoshop just to edit their background. Thus, if you do not want to let your client down, you should have this backdrop.

In addition to that, you will also need to have Baby Photography Backdrops. The reason is very simple. If someone just has a baby, then he or she will like to take the picture of the baby a lot of time and this is where the backdrop that you have can help you with this kind of situation. So, what do you think about that? Is there any backdrop that you need to have other than those?

Mining Leads from Your CRM Software

Do you have leads withering away inside your CRM software? Maybe you do and don’t even realize it! Your CRM software could be an untapped goldmine. Mining your software for leads, scoring leads, and taking action could give your sales team – and your bottom line – a boost. Here are a few effective ways for effective CRM management.
Whether you purchase new leads from a vendor or have an existing data set that you’d like to tap into, you’ll want to focus your efforts on the leads that are most likely to buy from you. This involves:
  • Segmenting leads – While you could call every single lead in your CRM, your list is likely extremely diverse. Segment leads into their appropriate buying “personas” so that you can tailor your messages appropriately. For example, your message to a C-level executive will be different than your message to an IT department manager.
  • Lead Scoring – Next, assign scores to leads based on criteria such as company size, annual revenues, job role, assumed budget, and other factors relevant to your offer.
  • Identifying the most sales-ready leads – Lead scoring is used to determine sales-readiness, among other things. Use the lead scores to rank your leads in terms of sales-readiness.
  • Taking action – Once you’ve segmented, scored, and identified leads, it’s time to take action. Which segment makes the most sense to pursue right now? Start with the most sales-ready leads in that segment and craft your offer. Using what you know about your sales team’s skills, assign these leads to the sales representatives with the product knowledge or sales skills most appropriate to buyer’s persona and lead score.
Your CRM could be filled with leads who are ready to buy right now. By identifying and focusing on those leads rather than playing the numbers game and calling everyone, you can expect a significant boost in sales. (Source: IT Sales Outsourcing by AAyuja)

How to Narrow Your Target Market

Few businesses can be all things to all people, nor should they. Without a narrow target market, you can’t possibly hit your mark. As a result, your marketing efforts will be unfocused and less likely to resonate with anybody. Rather than wasting your precious marketing budget on a mishmash of ads in the hopes that one will connect with someone out there, try this: narrow your target market. Creating a targeted marketing strategy through personas is one way to help you identify and target potential customers.
Marketing personas are fictional characters that are used to represent potential customers. By creating one or more marketing personas, it becomes easier to visualize and understand what your customers may value, want, or need. This is crucial in developing marketing messages; it can also help you focus. For example, let’s say your business sells pens, pencils, and paper products. Everyone needs these items, making it tempting to take a one-size-fits-all marketing approach. However, Jonah the college student has different needs than Mr. Big the CEO and Sally the work-at-home mom.
While your business may have multiple personas, you can use personas to narrow your market even further. For example, do you want to cater to Jonah, Mr. Big, or Sally? Which persona is more profitable? Which is more stable? Which is best for cash flow? Once You know the answers to these questions then you can begin the lead nurturing process
Once you know which persona is your target market, you can then begin tailoring your messages to attract those customers. For example, if you’ve decided to pursue the work from home crowd, you could start a business blog or Facebook campaign that positions your business as one that understands the challenges work from home professionals face – and as one that has real solutions. The more you specialize in this niche, the easier it becomes to add new services that appeal to customers that match your persona. (Source: Demand Generation & Targeted Marketing by AAyuja)
While you’ll still serve customers outside your target market, using personas to narrow your market, understand it, and develop it make more sense than trying to be everything to everyone.

Could Your Network Benefit from a Cloud Accelerator?

Remember when you accessed computer software from a server connected to your network or a local copy installed on your computer’s hard drive? Back then, application performance relied on the performance of your network and computer. While you may still access some applications on a physical network or computer, cloud applications and software as a service are becoming increasingly common. With this move to the cloud, application performance often relies on external processes and equipment beyond your control. However, cloud accelerator services have emerged with promises of dramatic application performance improvements (Source: Cloud Accelerator by Aryaka).
Though numerous cloud accelerators exist, they work by delivering content from the original servers over a privately controlled delivery path rather than the public Internet. Because the cloud accelerator service provider controls the connection, it becomes possible to optimize it for faster application deliver and performance.
Cloud acceleration isn’t just for application delivery. Cloud accelerators can be used to deliver applications, VoIP, live video, remote desktops (virtualization), web pages, images, and other interactive and dynamic content.
Some of the benefits you could expect by choosing a cloud accelerator are:
  • Improved application performance – Companies offering cloud acceleration claim increased application performance by as much as five to 100 times. TCP optimization techniques can also be used to deliver improved TCP application performance.
  • Reduced bandwidth consumption – By removing redundancies and using bandwidth scaling, cloud accelerators can reduce bandwidth consumption dramatically – by up to 98 percent. This translates into lower bandwidth costs.
  • Better user experience –Whether you’re concerned about employees having faster access to cloud-based software in order to perform their jobs or customers being able to navigate and use your site, improving application performance with a cloud accelerator can lead to a significantly better user experience.
Most cloud accelerator providers charge for the service using a “as a service” model. This means you pay as you go out of operational funds rather than investing upfront using capital funds.

CMMS allows The City of Richland to Stand Tall

For some time prior to the sequestration, many municipalities have been feeling the strain of budget cuts and making due with skeleton crews.  The sequestration, which is slated to kick in in early May and continue through 2014, will result in furloughs for government employees and budget cuts across “every program, project, and activity”, according to the Washington Post.  Given this climate, The City of Richland’s (in Eastern Washington) efforts to become a model of efficiency and economy are truly prescient.  Towards that end, it launched a five-year strategic plan, girded by seven guiding pillars.  Central to the plan are the two pillars to use collaborations to more cost-effectively minimize investments in existing assets and ensure a sustainable long-term maintenance program for existing facilities and infrastructures.
Pillars of the Community
Richland’s Parks and Facilities Manager, Tim Werner, foresaw that implementing the pillars would be extremely difficult without building maintenance software. To find a suitable solution, the City Manager asked the Parks and Recreation department to launch a pilot program.   The project sought a computerized maintenance management software (CMMS) system that could provide long-term asset life-cycle reporting by tracking maintenance costs and associating them to specific buildings and other assets, allowing the team to make “maintain vs. repair” decisions, analyze data in the cycle, and track expenses relative to the budget.
Werner had a large task ahead of him: the assets for all 10 city-owned buildings had to be matched to the city time keeping system, and, for each specific building ID and room #, each asset had to be accounted for, including: electrical equipment, roofing, and floors and walls, down to the square footage of carpet and sheet rock.   By setting up the CMMS in this way, an unprecedented level of asset integrity was created.  Now the team is rapidly able to initiate any work that needs to be done, procedures have been standardized across all sites, expenses can be easily traced to the exact location and staff member who performed them, and managers can accurately assess whether it is more cost-effective to maintain or replace a facility. The City of Richland continues to see the benefits of implementing eMaint’s CMMS & preventative maintenance software across all its facilities and buildings, which was instrumental in realizing the five-year plan’s seven pillars.

WHAT IS MORTGAGE LEAD GENERATION?

Lenders, like other business types, need a steady flow of customers in order to grow and thrive. A popular form or marketing for lenders involves buying leads from mortgage lead vendors and then calling or emailing these individuals to present their offer. But where do these leads come from?
Mortgage lead vendors use a variety of techniques to generate leads which they then sell to lenders. For example, if you’ve ever been to a home show and have been enticed to enter a contest to win a fabulous prize by filling out a card with your name, phone number, and home ownership details, you’ve likely experienced one common form of mortgage lead generation firsthand. While someone will be the lucky winner, the remaining entries will become leads. Their contact information will be entered into a database and sold to marketers such as lenders.
The Internet has modernized mortgage lead generation, making the old contest routine seem quaint in comparison. Today, many vendors use banner advertisements targeting would-be borrowers. Interested borrowers then click these ads and are taken to a website where they can view current interest rates, use online mortgage calculators, and learn more about their lending and refinancing options. From there, they’ll be prompted to get a quote or compare rates from competitive lenders. In order to do this, they must first enter their contact information such as name, phone number, property type, location, loan type, desired loan pricing, and so on. (Source: Loan Pricing By NYLX)
By entering their contact information and mortgage requirements data, these would-be borrowers have registered themselves into a mortgage lead database. Their information will then be sold to lenders, often in real time. An advantage of this type of mortgage lead generation over contests is that these leads are genuinely interested in finding out more about mortgages whereas contest-generated leads are primarily interested in winning a prize. Moldflow Analysis Is Essential for High-Performance Parts

One of the best ways to save time and money is conducting a moldflow analysis of your project before you build the mold—especially if it involves complex, tight-tolerance products. Some manufacturers opt for a lower-cost analysis (or even no analysis) to save money, but this is often a mistake that leads to higher costs. A thorough moldflow analysis will carefully evaluate dozens of key parameters that impact your design project, before the mold is built. This saves on prototyping and molding costs, improves quality, and reduces overall operational costs.
Moldflow analysis is a frequently used term in the injection molding industry but is often poorly misunderstood. The process utilizes sophisticated simulation tools to predict the flow of plastic during all phases of the injection molding process, including flow, pack, and cooling—thereby identifying and eliminating potential problems that could arise during mold design or production.
Various levels of moldflow analysis software are available; selecting the right one for your project (and interpreting it correctly) is critical for success.
The most basic level simulates the fill and packing phases. This helps optimize gate location, gate sizes, balance runners, and process conditions that impact manufacturability for thermoset and thermoplastic materials. Injection pressure and temperature, heat transfer effects, and clamp force requirements can also be determined. For thick-walled parts, moldflow analysis helps identify ideal gate and weld line locations, as well as where air traps are likely to form. Other key parameters that can be evaluated are processing conditions, flow-induced shear stress, bore diameter sizing, sequential valve gauging, cavity/part temperature differential, coolant temperature, and coolant flow rate.
Moldflow analysis is also effective for predicting the orientation of both short and long glass fibers that are added to enhance certain characteristics; misaligned fibers can impact strength, flexibility, dimension, and other performance specifications for the product.
Advanced moldflow applications provide critical information regarding more complex processes, such as mold cooling, shrinkage, and warpage. Shrink is unavoidable in plastic and is typically a result of material structure (for example, semi-crystalline or amorphous), packing pressure, and wall thickness. Engineers must be able to accurately estimate shrinkage to properly size the mold. Warp is a result of shrink and can come from three sources: unbalanced mold cooling, fiber orientation, and non-uniform shrinkage. Warpage analysis can identify the causes of warpage and where warpage will occur before the mold is built, allowing engineers the opportunity to optimize design, material selection, and processing parameters to minimize deformation, before production starts. (Source: Scientific Molding by Kaysun)
For most projects, especially those with complex, high-tolerance parts that require precise dimensional stability, moldflow analysis is essential for designing the most efficient, highest-quality injection molding process for the product. This optimizes cycle times and tooling trials—thereby reducing risk, improving quality, and reducing overall production costs.

AUTOMATING FACILITIES MAINTENANCE WITH SOFTWARE

Automating Facilities Maintenance with Software
Whether you run an apartment building, multiple properties, a school, a hospital, manufacturing facility, or public space, your facilities demand regular maintenance. In addition, you’re likely accountable to senior managers who need to know that your response time is adequate, all contractual obligations are being met, and that disruptions are being kept to a minimum. Other areas of concern include costs associated with facilities maintenance as well as the satisfaction of tenants, employees, and other building occupants.
The more complex the assignment, the more important it becomes to have a system maintenance plan in place. Maintenance software can measure performance and automate common tasks – and much more. Moving from a paper-based system to maintenance software could be advantageous. Not only can a good program provide you with the tools you need to schedule work and forecast repairs, it can also provide you with detailed reports documenting work completed, labor and materials consumed on a month-to-date or year-to-date basis, turnaround times, and other key performance metrics.
While maintenance software comes with a myriad of features, you may find the following features extremely useful in terms of facilities maintenance:
  • Service Requests – Service requests come in from the people who use the facilities such as tenants, students, and office workers. Once a service comes in, use your maintenance software to schedule the work, track its status, and more.
  • Work Orders – Create work orders based on service requests and provide maintenance workers with a detailed plan describing exactly what must be done. Parts, materials, and labor can be tracked by the maintenance software as well.
  • Maintenance Dashboards – Dashboards provide an at-a-glance view of facilities maintenance tasks and metrics, allowing you to measure performance, respond to trends, and view real-time information such as costs or labor hours.
While maintenance software won’t automate the actual work to be performed, it can provide you with the tools needed to respond to service requests, track performance, and improve satisfaction. (Source: eMaint EAM)

The Most Efficient Conveyors for Handling Dry Bulk Solids

Transferring powders, pellets, and granulated solids is a challenge for a wide range of industries. Not surprisingly, a great deal of innovation has gone into solutions for this challenge. There are many ways manufacturers, farmers, miners, and others have found to move their products. Here we'll talk about three of the most versatile.
Cleated belt conveyors - These are a modified version of the simple conveyors you've seen used for many other purposes. But most belt conveyors wouldn't be well suited for handling dry bulk solids. The obvious reason is that narrow, flat, moving surfaces have a hard time keeping powders and granules in place long enough to transfer them any distance -- at least without a few modifications. To meet this challenge, innovators like Cambelt International have added flexible side walls to hold material on the belt. Cleats or nubs on the surface of the belt keep the powders or granules from caking or rolling around on the surface.
These belts can be enclosed to keep from exposure to the environment if needed. Cleated belt conveyors can handle incredibly high volumes of material and are versatile enough to carry a wide variety of particle sizes and levels of moisture. But they may require more space than other options.
Screw conveyors - These machines, also called auger conveyors use a narrow spiral ramp around an extended shaft to push material along a tube or trough. As the shaft spins, material is pushed along the forward curve similar to how a drill forces wood out of a shaft it is creating. These systems are ideal for moving dry powders and granules where space is limited because they are very compact. However, at high inclines volume can be limited because material tends to pack in the tube. This can also happen along horizontal paths where any moisture is introduced. Slightly wet materials can begin to cake along the spiral path.
Pneumatic conveyors - These systems use pressurized air to move powders from one place to another. Airtight tubes are connected to vacuums at the destination end of the system, blowers at the source end, or a combination. The fluidity of pneumatic conveyors allows for multiple starting and ending points using multiple blowers and vacuums respectively. These systems can be contoured to fit into existing infrastructure because the air doesn't need to follow a rigid path. But these machines are only well suited for powders and very light weight granules. Also, any amount of moisture can render the system inoperable.
These three configurations account for nearly all handling of dry bulk solids for energy, food, construction, and manufacturing industries. They each have their strengths and weaknesses, but all are very efficient at what they do.

4 Keys to Improving Employee Performance and Morale

Some managers think they can improve employee performance and morale by buying donuts occasionally or scolding employees like misbehaving teenagers. But these problems are usually much more deeply rooted in company policies, the social structure in the office, a company's system of rewards, etc. This places a great deal of the responsibility for poor morale on management, and no amount of donuts or scolding will fix it. Here are some general keys to begin changing your business from the roots up.
Leading out of the status quo
Talking about change is seldom enough to affect an enduring new direction. And the leaders of your company: owners, managers, and supervisors need to set the pace. Additional training and team building retreats are good ways to pivot to a new way of doing things. But it's up to leaders to maintain momentum after all the excitement for change wears off.
Positive feedback culture
Employees often suffer from poor morale because they don't feel appreciated and don't feel that they deserve appreciation. Simply offering encouraging statements is rarely effective as a motivational tool because people see them as patronizing. White River Academy is a boarding school for troubled teens. They have begun using a new approach to improving teens' self-concept by giving them opportunities to excel at something and then giving them due praise. This same approach works on struggling employees and is more cost effective than firing and retraining new people from scratch. Setting people up for success empowers your work force by giving them personal satisfaction for a job well done.
Setting new rules and expectations
There may be fundamental flaws in procedures or policies that lead to inefficiency. If this is the case then keep an open mind to changing these policies, even if they've been around forever. It may be worth hiring a consultant to identify where problems arise. But keep in mind that changing expectations doesn't necessarily mean rewriting your employee handbook. Often, break downs in the line of command and productivity occur because policies are inconsistently enforced. The statement, "The new plan is the old plan, we're just going to do it this time" is almost always a better solution than scrapping policies that haven't worked because they haven't been followed.
Give praise in their own language
Once people know what is expected of them, they'll do it if they know their employers recognize their hard work and creativity. Each person has his or her own ways they like to be appreciated. Some people relish public recognition; others are moved by a private pat on the back and a "well done". For some, you don't have to say anything; they measure appreciation in the level of trust you place in them. This puts the responsibility on the manager or supervisor to learn how each employee ticks and the best way to motivate them. Of course virtually everyone speaks the language of money. So you'll never go wrong rewarding loyalty and good work with a raise or a bonus.

Pick the Best Prototype Process (Not the Cheapest One)

Designers always want to save time and money during prototyping, but “cheapest and fastest” is usually not the best option. The top prototyping methods—stereolithography (SLA), selective laser sintering (SLS), urethane cast, soft tooling, and hard tooling—all have their advantages and disadvantages. What must be considered is how the prototype will be used and what the production goals are, especially if you are making a tight-tolerance part that’s critical to the function of a product or system or if it is something that requires a plastic overmolding.
SLA/SLS
These additive manufacturing technologies are ideal for rapid prototyping. Guided by a CAD pattern, SLA uses an ultraviolet laser to build a solid part by solidifying and accreting individual layers of photopolymer resin. Although SLA is relatively fast, there are size limitations and photo-curable resins can be expensive. SLS is similar to SLA except that a carbon-dioxide laser fuses together thin layers of powdered metal, plastic, glass, or ceramic to construct a solid product. Compared to SLA, SLS can make prototypes from more materials that may have properties closer to production-intent materials. Even though materials options have increased over the years, SLA and SLS are not yet production intent.
Urethane Cast/Mold
This low-volume production method utilizes polyurethane plastic materials to produce prototypes that can be finished to look like hard-tooled plastic parts. However, material choices are limited and may not deliver the same qualities that preferred production plastics can. Urethane cast/mold can be a cost-effective method of prototyping if there is a need for a higher quantity of parts at the fitment or proof-of-concept stage. Overall the process is fairly limited and becoming less common in the industry.
Soft Tooling
This process provides relatively cheap tooling, a high number of parts, and may also allow for use of the intended production material. Soft tooling is usually built with aluminum cores and cavities and samples can be turned around in a few weeks. This may be an option for early prototype builds if the parts are simple, tolerances are loose, and function and fitment are not critical requirements.
Hard Tooling
For engineered parts with tight tolerances, testing requirements, and an intention for functional use, hard tooling is usually the best option. The up-front cost is more expensive and the lead time is longer; however, hard tooling will likely save both time and money down the road. It will guarantee the ability to use production-intent resin and can accommodate design and dimensional changes after the parts have been sampled. Hard tooling also provides the opportunity for process development and verification early in the program timeline. It’s also a good choice for supplying several hundred thousand parts, bridging the gap from prototype to production.
Understanding what you need is important when considering which prototyping method to select. Cutting costs during the development stage by opting for the least expensive prototyping option generally doesn’t save the money over the long term—be sure to evaluate lifecycle costs as well. What is Cloud Acceleration?

As businesses increasingly move to “the cloud,” unfamiliar terms appear. One of these terms is “cloud acceleration.” In order to better understand cloud and IP acceleration, let’s first look at a similar concept: content delivery networks (Source: IP Acceleration by Aryaka).
A content delivery network, or CDN, is a large network of servers located around the world designed to distribute content to users in a highly efficient, fast manner. For example, popular websites and blogs with users located around the globe need a fast and efficient way to deliver content – even if users are located tens of thousands of miles away. Since the time it takes to deliver data between a server and an end user is influenced by geographic differences, having servers located in data centers around the world can bridge those distances and improve performance and availability. Each server contains its own cached version of the content and can quickly deliver it to local users.
Cloud acceleration has a similar goal: to deliver content to end users as quickly as possible. While content delivery networks can do this, they are generally limited to delivering static content such as webpages, images, and videos. It is not practical for CDNs to deliver constantly changing content such software as a service (SAAS), cloud-based applications, and SharePoint data. With dynamic data, a content delivery network can’t keep up with the changes.
Instead of relying on a distributed system of servers, cloud acceleration improves dynamic content delivery by improving the efficiency of the delivery path upon which the data must travel between the IP source and the end-user. A form of IP acceleration is used to decrease duplicate data within the transmission. By optimizing the TCP protocol and eliminating duplication within the transmission, the dynamic content can move more quickly through the path to and from the end user.

A Maintenance Program For Your Business

There are always going to be issues that are involved with any type of maintenance operation. It doesn’t matter if you are running a maintenance crew for an apartment community or if you are using them for any type of production facility, you would want to ensure that things are running as smoothly as possible throughout the entire maintenance process. One of the ways in which you can keep track of the process is to use maintenance software for a variety of your needs. For example, you may be able to use the software for running any tickets and it certainly can be of benefit in any type of maintenance management system, both large and small. It is also important for you to consider the asset management software that may be included. That will help you to keep track of any items that are used by the maintenance crew to ensure that they are available when needed.
It also helps if you spread the maintenance staff out to a certain extent. Although you may have those that are running tickets and those that are specific to certain types of machinery, it’s a good idea to give them experience in other areas as well. In that way, you will not be caught unawares if you should happen to be short with maintenance personnel that typically take care of those items.
